Sengoku Basara Dokugan – Modern Day Samurai?
Are you tired of the old samurai times and seeing a misplaced ensemble of warriors positioned in the same age as others who lived eras before? Then, you are getting a better, stronger and more inconsistent dose of this in the new Sengoku Basara manga by the mangaka of Soukoku no Garou – Hokuto no Ken: Rei Gaiden (Yasuyuki Nekoi). The spinoff series is entitled Sengoku Basara Dokugan.
One-by-one, visuals and sketches for the new project are uploaded to the official Capcom website of the project. The key visual is a depiction of Date Masamune, one of the main characters in the original story, standing beside a Harley-like motorbike surrounded by his trusty katana blades.

The latest visual as of now is this black and white sketch showing Date’s new hairstyle and Kojuurou Katakura.

The manga will start its publication on 26th April in Akita Shoten’s Young Champion magazine.

Do you think the horse should have been made a full-fledged bike, or was it unnecessary? I cannot stop wondering about this decision.
anime :3
I want an anime on this one already :D
Masamune Date has always been modern…
Date is always cool :P
To answer the question, Sengoku Basara has always been a crazy concept with modern day references and elements, so I am absolutely okay with this side story, as long as they keep Date-dono’s unique spirit and Kojurou-sama’s intelligent presence. :)
Oh, wow…I have to say I am having my fangirl moment now…
