Reikenzan: Hoshikuzu-tachi no Utage Anime by DEEN Announced

Reikenzan: Hoshikuzu-tachi no Utage Reikenzan: Hoshikuzu-tachi no Utage is a new anime project by Studio DEEN. The TV anime series will premiere this January and will be shown on Sun TV, Tokyo MX, KBS Kyoto, AT-X and TV Aichi, at different times. Keep on reading for the full information!

The original story comes from the Chinese digital fantasy novel (2013) and manhua (2014) by the same title. As you may see, there hasn’t been enough time for a long series to be created, so don’t be surprised if this turns out to be another 20-24-episode anime series.

The story goes like this: a comet will fall and bring calamity to the world. In order to defeat the predicted future and change fate itself, a soul which comes around only once in a millennium is needed. The owner of this soul is believed to be one of the many new disciples of the Reiken school. One of them we follow to the depths of education, training and fun times.

Although the released images show a heavily ornamented couple and a lot of detailed fantasy environment, the show’s animators from DEEN promise us a gag-rich an eventful anime for all tastes.

Starring as the main character O-Riku, full of intellect and unparalleled impudence, is Tsubasa Yonaga (Yowamushi Pedaru’s Sangaku Manami).

Do you think we need more of this genre or is there an anime field you would rather have new titles in?
