Akatsuki no Yona Manga to Be Animated
Akatsuki no Yona is a shoujo manga by Mizuho Kusanagi (NG Life). It is being serialised in Hakusensha’s Hana to Yume magazine since 2009 and has sine sprung into a 14-volume story and is still ongoing!
The tale begins with a young, pretty and loved princess – the only one in a country in ruins. Her name’s Yona and she’s probably one of the happiest girls in the forsaken place – being taken care of by her guard and friend Hak, other knights, servants and her loving father (the king). One day, however, something terrible happens – her cousin Soo-won murders her father right in front of her eyes. because of her cousin’s cruelty and thirst for the throne, Yona is forced to flee to Hak’s hometown and begin a new life – one of hiding, hard work and more.

Although there seems to be a lot of politics going on in the story, some readers have expressed their dislike of the lack of pace in the start of the beginning. Others believe this is one of the best shoujo manga to be made. Yes, they’d go this far. What about you?
