NYFCC Best Animated Film – Kaze Tachinu (The Wind Rises)

Hayao Miyazaki’s last project Kaze Tachinu (The Wind Rises) received yet another recognition. This time it was the New York Film Critics Circle Awards. The anime movie won the award for Best Animated Film. Let me remind you that this project is also running for the Oscar nominations and won several other awards.

  1. Awesome! Miyazaki really deserves the award! I’ve seen the movie at TIFF and it’s amazing. Great animation, great storytelling, interesting story based on a real character. What’s not to like? Miyazaki is the master and The Wind Rises proves it once again.
