Makai OujiMakai Ouji: Devils and Realist is the newest anime project by Junjou Romantica director Chiaki Kon. Surely, filled with bishounen boys and with a pinch of shounen-ai, this show will capture the hearts of many girls. More than centred on the romance, however, it seems to lie on the supernatural side of things. The show starts on 7th July 2013 (let me remind you that we have two sevens I this date and it is considered one of the magical numbers).

The story of Makai Ouji centres on a young man named William Twining. He is smart and a noble, but after his uncle’s bankruptcy, he finds himself into a dire situation of financial difficulties. Seeking for something that can help him pay for his tuition fees, young mister William ends up in the basement of his home. By chance, he summons a devil from a different dimension. Dantalion, as is the daemon’s name, acknowledges him as the so-called ‘Elector’ – the one who will choose who will replace the Emperor of Hell once Lucifer falls into eternal sleep. This is the moment everything changes for young William as from then on he is constantly sought by various supernatural creatures and human-like beings who wish for his acceptance. Meanwhile, Heaven is trying to retrieve his soul as well.

  1. These previews really make it easy to choose what to watch…I would see this anime, as I am counting on the Fantasy element you’ve mentioned.

  2. Couldn’t imagine that Sitori is a boy…not in a lifetime. Junjou is the best shounen-ai story and composition-wise, so I hope these series would be good as well.
