First Ever Shingeki no Kyojin One-Shot Manga to Be Available with the 1st Anime DVD/Blu-ray

shingeki no kyojin giantThe first ever one-shot manga for Shingeki no Kyojin, the story which served as a wild inspiration for the hit-series (both manga serialised in Bessatsu Shounen Magazine and the anime currently running on TV and web providers), will be released alongside the first anime released for home video.

The first video volume of the show will be released on both DVD and Blu-ray Disk version. Alongside it, buyers will get the unique chance to get a hold of the so-called ‘prototype’ Shingeki no Kyojin Attack on Titan manga.

The one-shot was written and illustrated by the same person who is currently publishing Attack on Titan in Bessatsu. Hajime Isayama created this first story, described by hm as the source of inspiration and prototype for the currently running series, when he was just 19 years old. No details about the plot itself are present in the announcement, but the number of pages – 65. This is a never-ever-before-published work.

  1. This is good…Hajime Isayama is really talented. Good thing this anime came out, so I can erad the manga :D

    1. You’re quick to switch favourites…only 5 episodes have passed. Plus – who says this will be available in English?!
