Gintama The Movie: Be Forever Yorozuya Full Trailer Released (Video)

The first full trailer for the upcoming ‘Final’ Gintama movie instalment has been released online through the official YouTube channel of the project. The video is just a bit over half-a-minute-long and shows two versions of the beloved main character Gintoki – Samurai Gintoki and Yorozuya Gintoki. Final Gintama The Movie: Be Forever Yorozuya (a.k.a. Gekijouban Gintama Kanketsu-hen: Yorozuya yo Eien Nare) will premiere in theatres across Japan on 6th July 2013 and will show us an unseen, unique story written personally by the original author of the manga – Hideaki Sorachi-sensei.

Directing the feature is Yoichi Fujita (many previous Gintama projects) while supervising it is Mobile Suit Gundam’s Shinji Takamatsu. Cast members Rie Kugimiya (Kagura), Daisuke Sakaguchi (Shinpachi Shimura) and, of course, main actor Tomokazu Sugita (Gintoki Sakata) are all returning to the cast list for this movie.

  1. I think there will be some grand event in Gintoki’s present times that will demand him to fight seriously, hence the title (i.e. forever yorozuya – hat he is no, not a samurai)

      1. How did you even got the “hat he is no” part :D You are something…I meant that “what he is now”. And yes, I am aware this describes almost every episodes. If you haven’t’ noticed, most anime movies are like a weird episode, nothing really special. This is what I meant ;)

  2. If I have to speculate…it just looks like a regular teaser – e.g. flashbacks and references, as usual. Don’t think we’ll be getting a war story.
