Kimi no Iru Machi is a manga by Kouji Seo that tells the story of young Yuzuki Eba who has to move from the big Tokyo to a small countryside town, in the home of a local student boy. The school romance with a hint of comedy has been in print with Kodansha in the publisher’s Weekly Shounen Magazine since 2008.
After two OVA volumes, the story will finally be turned into a fully fledged television anime series.
Directing the project will be Shigeyasu Yamauchi. He is popular with his directing roles in shows such as Casshern Sins, Dragon Ball Z and Saint Seiya. The Cat Returns and Ao no Exorcist’s screenwriter Reiko Yoshida will be writing the script for this show as well.
Terumi Nishii (Mawaru Penguindrum) is designing the characters and Keichi Oku (Peacemaker, Digimon: Data Squad) is composing the music scores for the upcoming anime.
