The threat letters strike once more. This time, such mail was received n the Makuhari Messe venue where this year’s Jump Festa convention will be held. While the event will happen, everything related to Shueisha’s Kuroko no Basuke manga will be removed and unavailable.
After many news of how various events were being cancelled or had items related to Tadatoshi Fujimaki’s Kuroko no Basuke manga, Shueisha’s very own Jump Festa has also fallen victim of the dangerous man or woman who sends the threats all over Japan to people and events related to the mangaka’s project.
The Kuroko no Basuke Super Stage event was going to host guests including seiyuu Kensho Ono, Yuuki Ono and Fumiko Orisaka. It has been cancelled. Removed from the schedule is every participation of the title in any sub-event and stand.
During the two days of the fest (December 22-23) the security levels will be increased. Last year’s Jump Festa recorded 163,000 people as audience on December 17-18 when the weekend was in 2011. Shueisha is apologizing to its readers and the fans of the sports manga.
