Katekyo Hitman Reborn! Manga Ends in Shounen Jump No. 50/51 (UPDATED)

The prominent manga by Akira Amano will be finding it’s well deserved end in the 50th issue of Shueisha’s weekly Shounen Jump. It will happen in ether issue number 50 (coming out on November 12) or in the following 51st issue (November 19). Having turned into one of the most admired and cherished shounen stories, it is a farewell not many feel like saying.

UPDATE: The news was confirmed. Issue 50 and volume 42 will be last.

Nonetheless, Katekyo Hitman Reborn! is a story that needed to end sooner or later. After having finished this symbolic manga, Amano-san will hopefully bring something new and fresh to the public. The anime adaptation of KHR! ended in September 2010.

The manga, on the other hand, lived a happy life that began on April 4, 2004 (04/04/04) and will end on November 12/2012 or November 19/2012.

With this manga finding its end, I cannot feel more preoccupied with the question: “Where to from now?”

In the anime line we are missing classic shounen with a twist a lot since Bleach and KHR! ceased their serialisations.Whom should we entrust our shounen-loving hearts now that some manga are barely readable, others are nearing an end and probably only One Piece is standing its ground?

    1. Would you be so kind as to link a source? I would be happy to know it since Manga News has been a good source of information and they have kept on supporting this news even after Anime News Network claimed that it was wrong.
