Sailor Moon Gets New Anime in 2013!!!

sailor moon anime 2013After the news of the 2012 release based on the third part of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure manga yesterday, we received even more great news! Everybody who loves anime knows that Sailor Moon is… at least classic. BIG NEWS: Sailor Moon will get a new television anime series in 2013! The project has already been started and we’ll be expecting the new Sailor Moon series in the summer of 2013.

The big news were announced by the publishing house of the manga and the mangaka himself during the celebrations for the manga’s 20th anniversary. Kodansha representatives noted that the production process has begun and that the anime will premiere during the 2013 summer anime season.

Creator Naoko Takeuchi wasquite happy during the event and shared the stage while explaining some details, though minor.

The original seiyuu of Sailor Moon (Usagi Tsukino) Kotono Mitsuishi and the seiyuu of Tuxedo Kamen (Mamoru Chiba) were present at the reception, though it is still to be announced who will be voicing the characters this time. After all, the two are respectfully 45y.o. and 59y.o.

What was announced, though, is that the theme song performance will be in the hands of Momoiro Clover Z. The female idols have previously performed the songs for Mouretsu Pirates, Dragon Crisis!, Yosuga no Sora.
