New Sentai Filmworks Licenses: Hakuouki Reimeiroku, Hiiro no Kakera and More

North American anime licensing and distribution company Sentai Filmworks has announced tons of new purchases! Hiiro no Kakera, Hakuouki Reimeiroku, Idolm@ster Xenoglossia, Mayo Chiki!, Season 2 of Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere, The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky. This is the current list of new anime that will be distributed officially in English in North American regions. Below you can see whatever detail there has been released on the subject.

Idolm@ster XenoglossiaMayo Chiki! will be released digitally and on a subtitled DVD in 2012.

Hakuouki Reimeroku will be airing in Japan starting this July 9 and will be shared by Sentai through a limited digital service. Also, a bilingual home video edition will be made available for North Americans in 2013.It is a part of the complete Hakuouki license that the company has acquired recently.

Digital release in 2012 and a DVD and Blu-ray Disc release in 2013 expects the second season of Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere.It will be streamed by Crunchyroll simultaneously with the original Japanese channels.

Hiiro no Kakera will be released digitally and on disc. There was no certain information about it being on DVD AND BD or just DVD. Dates were also not shared with the public.

The final anime in the list, The Legend of Heroes: Trails in The Sky, will be released digitally and in a home video edition by the end of the year.

  1. Does it mean that there will be a third Hakuouki Season in english language?? This would be so great!! I would buy every Season so I got them all completely :)

    1. For the moment, every Hakuouki series/projects that are completed will be a part of the license for the region as well. That is unless Sentai Filmworks doesn’t decide that it’s not worth it, which I doubt.

  3. “Hiiro no Kakera”? Why does this even exist…? It’s one of the weakest shoujo/fantasy ever to be made. Really lucky to get such distribution…

    1. True… :D It’s one of the most boring things I’ve seen :D Hakuoki’s no surprise, though. It seems to be quite popular to my sincere regret.
