Fairy Tail: The Phoenix Priestess’ Theme to Be Sung by Aya Hirano

The upcoming Fairy Tail: The Phoenix Priestess movie is definitely something to look forward to, but not only for the great trailers that have been released, but also for the current big news – Aya Hirano will be performing the ending theme song for the film! She will supposedly play in the ED as her character Lucy Heartfilia. The OP Will be “200 Miles” by Jang Geun-suk.

The song, whose title is still unknown, will be composed by Nobuo Uematsu. His previous works include multiple installments of Final Fantasy items, Blue Dragon theme song, Ah! My Goddess’ music too.

The upcoming film will be revolving around the mysterious phoenix priestess named Eclair (yes, as the French dessert) who appears out of nowhere before the Fairy Tail wizards’ guild without a memory and with a mission – to deliver two phoenix stones somewhere to someone…The entire guild has to see through the issue with the lost memory of the priestess and the voyage of the two stones which may prove to bring either the collapse or the new basis of their world.

The movie will open in theatres across Japan this August 18.

  1. ‘Fairy Tail’ is probably the last decent shounen anime left… Congratulations to Aya Hirano for getting that major opportunity and let’s hope the movie’s good.
