Deadman Wonderland and Casshern Sins Anime Added to Toonami’s Schedule

The old schedule of Toonami is already being changed, as it was supposed to be.This is just a part of the upcoming changes to the new and improved Toonami anime block by Adult Swim. The two shows will replace anime such as Dragon Ball Z and Naruto which are missing from the schedule because, according to Jason DeMarco from Adult Swim and Cartoon Network, are generally speaking out of the block’s league.

UPDATED SCHEDULE for Sunday May 27, 2012:

(early morning)

12:00 a.m. – Bleach
12:30 a.m. – Deadman Wonderland
1:00 a.m. – Casshern Sins
1:30 a.m. – Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood
2:00 a.m. – Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex 2nd GIG
2:30 a.m. – Cowboy Bebop

It all is repeated for 3 hours between 3am and 6am.

A good PR trick or just honesty is giving us food for pondering, again by DeMarco: he said that the project itself has a very low amount of funding and only the big audience will help it gain more interesting, newer and more famous shows. A new addition, except for Casshern Sins and Deadman Wonderland, is the upgraded version of the mascot character Tom (for whoever is interested), which is again taken up by Steven Blum. The OP of the anime will be kept while the intros will be changed specifically for the Toonami block.

  1. Casshern Sins?! What the hell? They want to send the channel into oblivion straight after it just got back?!

    1. I admit you’ve got a certain point there :D Maybe that’s a clause in contract: “You get to show Bleach only if you also play Casshern Sins”…
