Madoka Enters the War in Dog Days’

Aoi Yuuki, the actress who plays Puella Magi Madoka Magica’s Madoka and Dance in the Vampire Bund’s Mina, is joining the Dog Days’ anime. This is the sequel to the first Dog Days show which aired in Japan in March last year.  This is some great news, especially considering the unexpected popularity of the anime.

Dog Days tells the story of a kingdom and its princess – Milchore from the Republic of Biscotti and her attempt to protect her country from the Galette’s (neighbouring country) invasion by summoning a hero form another dimension.

The second season will also have another big change in the staff. Director Keizou Kusakawa will hand the role to Ranma 1/2’s Junji Nishimura. The Dogs Days’ ( ‘ is read as ‘dash’) second season of this story will premiere on July, 2012.

The news were officially announced in the latest issue of Kadokawa Shoten’s Comp Ace magazine.
