Comedy Spinoff of Shingeki no Kyojin in The Making

A new spinoff manga based on Hajime Isayama’s Shingeki no Kyojin (Attack on Titan) horror work has just been launched in this issue of Bessatsu Shounen Magazine (published by Kodansha). Shingeki! Kyojin Chuugakkou (Attack! Titan Junior High) is written by Saki Nikagawa who has worked on Kingdom Hearts’ (the game) animation.

The story of the new spinoff manga is based on the original one by Isayama. It might also be called a parody as the main characters are kept as well as some very notable scenes, but are looked at from a very different point of view. It all happens in the universe of a Junior High school where most of the original main characters (including Mikasa and Eren) are fighting Titans.

  1. I agree with the boys on this one – who needs a comedy spin-off of Shigeki no Kyojin?! Plenty of “comedy” ecchi to choose from already. Why take the horror titles fans of the genre love and turn it into “High School DxD”?!

  2. Instead of making an anime from a worthy horror manga, they turn it into laughing stock. For once I agree with Baka.
