Berserk Ougon Jidai Hen Trilogy Licensed Around the World

Berserk Ougon Jidai Hen movie trilogy has been licensed in 16 countries by now. The different dates and teams of translators and cast are still to be announced and confirmed, but this surely brings joy to many out there who rarely get their anime officially released in their country. The full list of countries is below.

America,Canada [sic], Russia, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Netherlands, Sweden, Australia, and South Korea.

Viz Media will be releasing the North American version in the Autumn season of 2012.

As I am aware that there are still many of you who will have to adjust and accept the movies in another language for now, the variability of source languages also gives a better opportunity for smaller studios of the other places around the world to license and do a translation.

Berserk Ougon Jidai Hen I: Haou no Tamago premiered in theatres this February 4. Its DVD/Blu-ray Disc version will be available in Japan on May 23.

Berserk Ougon Jidai-hen II: Doldrey Kyouryaku will come out in theatres on June 23, 2012.

Berserk Ougon Jidai Hen III: Kourin will also premiere in Japanese cinemas in the second half of 2012.

We’ll just have to wait and see.
