An eye-catching trailer for the remake of Guskou Budori no Denki anime movie has been release on the official website of the upcoming second animated adaptation of Kenji Miyazawa’s Guskou Budori no Denki. The video is also released, and due to which I am able to share it with you, by Cinema Today.
The original story follows Guskou, a young man who is driven away from his home location of Tohoku in Northeastern Japan (yes, the same Tohoku that suffered greatly due to the March 11 events). Trying to find another place to live and to replace the green forests of the past which were sadly turned into a dying world by the recent, vast and endless drought, he meets with different people. The young lad joins up a group of scientists who are researching the same phenomena that has almost killed his homeland. They are a part of the Ihatov Volcano Department.
Gisaburo Sugii is director, screenwriter and writer of the movie. The cast includes Shiori Kutsuna (Detective Conan drama TV Series) as Neri – Guskou’s little sister and Shun Oogiri (Jyu-Oh-Sei’s Third).
This project is expected to be released in theatres in Japan on July 7, 2012.
