BL in the USA: VizMedia’s Sublime Adds New Shounen-Ai Titles

VizMedia’s Sublime magazine, specializing in boys’ love (shounen-ai), has announced its North American license over Bond of Dreams, Bond of Love (Yume Musubi Koi Musibi) manga by Yaya Sakuragi and How’s Your Ex? (Wakareta Otoko ga Ikaga Desu-ka?) by Makoto Tateno.

Bond of Dreams, Bond of Love is a story about the high school boy Ao who is very excited and into his neighbour Ryomei. The older man, however, is a Shinto priest and there is much doubt about what sort of reaction he would have at Ao’s attention. Will a kiss between the two be enough or will the younger one ask for much more?

In Japanese, the manga was being published by Kadokawa Shoten’s Asuka Ciel magazine. Sublime’s English versions will start shipping this August and the following volumes will be released quarterly. The current rights over the title are solely for a print version and no digital one is to be available in the near future.

How’s Your Ex? presents us the life and hardships of an employee in a regular office. Yoji has been working with his lover for a long time when at one point Tomoe had decided to leave him, the job and everything that connected them. After some time, though, the two of them get to work together once more. This causes a flood of emotions and desperate nostalgia for the past in the heart of Yoji.

Originally published by Libra Publishing’s BExBOY magazine, this work is licensed in English by VizMedia only for digital release. The title will be on the market starting April, 2012.
