The cute anime about female pirates in an alternative reality is getting more and more attention with each week. After publishing the ShinigamiList preview of the show, I had no idea it will actually be as liked as it seems to be. Today, Crunchyroll, the very liked and preferred international anime streaming service, and Sentai Filmworks both announced that they have gotten the rights over Mouretsu Uchuu Kaizoku (Bodacious Space Pirates).
Crunchyroll will be streaming simultaneously with Japan’s original broadcast the episodes starting Saturday, January 7 at 12:00 p.m. EST (17 o’clock GMT) and will continue doing so for the love of anime in all of the following countries: United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Denmark, Finland, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden.
Sentai Filmworks, on the other hand, have announced that they have acquired the rights over the anime’s digital, TV, DVD and Blu-ray Disc releases. The anime will begin broadcasting through their media February 2012.
