Lynn Okamoto Launches New Manga Project

Lynn Okamoto, the mangaka behind Elfen Lied and Nononono manga, is launching a new project next year. The title of the upcoming series will be Kiwaguro no Brynhildr and will begin this January 26th in the Young Jumo magazine, published by Shueisha. With a dark tagline such as “‘I killed my Girlfriend’ a Dark Fantasy of Pure Love!!” there is definitely something to be expected out of this.

Having read the news, I have to say that I do not feel excited about this at all. I mean, everyone is doing romance manga and firing up various moe, ecchi or just good-looking female characters. I am feeling like this manga by Lynn Okamoto, although it can be very good, won’t get the attention it may deserve due to the positions in the market right now. However, I do hope that it is good and that at least the fans of Okamoto sensei are happy with this.

  1. I believe the fact that he’s doing it for ages and created one of the most popular horror anime will help the manga enough, Shinigami-sama… ;)
