Anime Adaptation of Work by Kyouran Kazoku Nikki’s Akira

The Sasami-san@Ganbaranai light novel series by Kyouran Kazoku Nikki’s Akira has been given the green light. It was announced in the latest issue of Shogakukan’s Gagaga Bunko magazine where the manga is currently published. The sixth volume of the series has just been released this August.

The story of this work by Akira who has already had his Kyouran Kazoku Nikki adapted into an anime earlier this decade (in 2008) is all about Sasami, an apathetic young girl who is too uninterested in life to live it on her own. This is why she watches the outside world by a surveillance units placed on her brother – the person who means the most to her and is taking care of her. He, on the other hand, has a lively social relationship with three beautiful sisters and this romance is quite a thing to be watching. Slice of life or comedy – you decide, but it is definitely looking yummy for everyone who has tastes in these two genres.
