Gorillaz, the popular English band, is celebrating a decade this year! Weehey! Yes, they have debuted the same year as the first ever publication of the serialization of Bleach in Weekly Shounen Jump in Japan. So, there is no wonder Tite Kubo, the big man behind all this Kurosaki and co. franchise, is congratulating them through a special illustration of the four members of the group. Although, they are usually animated, this newer and more manga-like version is definitely something they might want to incorporate in their usual looks, at least to please all the Bleach fans out there.
Judging from the message that accompanied the image, and the image itself, we can proudly say that Mr. Bleach is definitely a fan of the British band and that he would be more than happy to party for the sake of the double birthday (Bleach and Gorillaz). We too can be glad for both phenomenons since even I cannot forget that apathetic look on the vocalist’s face while singing “I’m happy, I’m feeling glad. I’ve got sunshine in a bag. I’m useless but not for long…”
Here is also the message by Tite Kubo as posted in the original source (EMI Music):

The impact from “Clint Eastwood” still lingers 10 years on.
In the same year I started to draw my current work, Gorillaz released the 1st album.
For these 10 years, Gorillaz have remained very special to me.
They will continue to do so for the next 10.
Before the next 10 years begin, I need to listen to this album.
Thanks Gorillaz. All the best for the next 10 years.
Happy birthday to the western virtual band from the Shinigami List too!
