L’Arc-en-Ciel – First Japanese Band to play at the Madison Square Garden

L’Arc-en-Ciel is definitely a Japanese band that likes to be the first in its field. Their albums Ark and Ray were the first Japanese albums to be released simultaneously in many Asian countries, ever. They were the fist Japanese act to perform at the 1st Mariner Arena in Baltimore, Maryland (and at their North American debut at that!). They were the performers of the first Mobile Suit Gundam 00 opening theme son”g (Daybreak’s Bell”).

Now, they continue to be “the first” – this time, they will be the first Japanese act to be the headline performer at The Theatre at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The show will happen March 23, 2012 and will be a part of the band’s World Tour.

  1. Hyde made me feel ugly when I first saw them. :) Beautiful people and beautiful music. Great to see them at Madison Square Garden :)

    1. I know what you mean… but in other dimensions they’d be ugly as… erm… a cockroach? Yes, there are such places where something like here’s beauty actually is considered equal to how.. “gummy” an individual is!
