Asia Pacific Screen Awards and the Nominated Are…

This Monday, the nominees for this editions of Asia Pacific Screen Awards organized by Asia Pacific Screen Academy were announced. The award ceremony will happen November 24, 2011, the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia and is planned to have a life online stream (although no exact means and sites, as well as worldwide availability are announced).

One of the most exciting and important categories, that one of Best Animated Feauture Film is even more exciting than usually with a total of 2 out of 5 movies related with Japan. Their titles are: Hoshi wo Ou Kodomo ( Children who Chase Lost Voices from Deep Below) coming from Japan and Singapore’s Tatsumi, an autobiographical story by Japanese mangaka Yoshihiro Tatsumi.

As statistics say: 240 movies in total were entered into this year’s Asia Pacific Screen Awards listings. 37 out of them received nomination status in one or more of the APSA. They originate from as many as 19 different countries in the Asia Pacific area.

    1. I don’t get why do people always need to compare?! Those are Academy awards for Asia. What does it have to do with the AMERICAN Oscars?! Geez….
