Code:Breaker Manga Comes to TV

It was revealed today that the Code:Breaker manga serialized by Kodansha’s Weekly Shounen Magazine will have its very own television adaptation. Since the beginning of the publishing of the story in the magazine in 2008, there have been 15 volumes released to the Japanese public and the 16th is expected to come out next month.

The Japanese story by Samurai Deeper Kyo’s creator Akimine Kamjyou tell the story of Rei Oogami, a blue flame wielder and a new transfer student in Sakura Sakurakouji’s class. The boy is a “Code Breaker” a person who does not exists according to the rules. They are irregular entities that serve only to their own understandings.  Will the young girl achieve her goal to stop the evil inside the newcomer or will the blue flames burn her alive too?

    1. Action, Comedy, School, Shounen, Super Power, Supernatural

      these are the genre according to MAL… and we know they tend to put genres in an item no matter if it’s main one or just appearing in 1 episode, so it might be missing out on the shoujo. To be honest, I haven’t read it.

  1. Anything that goes published in Shounen Magazine, will get to become series eventually, so – yeah, no surprises. I’m still a bit reserved, since the way they changed Ao No Exorsist, but since this manga is from 2008, they might stick to the plot…eventually.

    Samurai Deeper Kyo was great, so… :)
