If I have to be honest, I don’t have any wisdom to share, but I think there are several points we should pay attention to: 1. The participation of One Piece and its position and rating. Although it is present, the difference between it and the leader in the ranking is immense (9.8 vs. 17.5 – there are 7.7 points difference less). If it was not in the list at all, I would’ve been calmer, but this is somewhat disturbing. The show has been on, yet, it has a low rating. Wasn’t it one of the so-called ‘big three’ or is it valid only for areas outside Japan? 2. Doraemon (1973) and Detective Conan(began airing in 1996) are both old anime series. The leader in the movie genre is Lupin III:The Secret of Mamo (1978) with 12.7 and this is also quite an old anime. It seems the people in Japan are craving for something old school, eh? Shall we all be expecting more of the old-school animation and characters to be presented in the Winter season (since the Fall one was already announced)?

  1. I’m actually stunned at this. Where do all the other facts come from then? Is it all because of us, foreigners, that things such as Beelzebub and Kuroshitsuji are famous?! OMG…

Of course, it’s a small scale research and we can’t be sure of their methods, but still… It confuses me.
