UN-GO Episode 0 to Premiere in Cinemas and Not on TV

We were very surprised and happy to read on the official website of the show, on Septermber 8, 2011, that a ‘pilot’ episode of UN-GO, the highly anticipated anime series by Studio Bones, will air not on the TV, but in cinemas across Japan.

The schedule for the TOHO cinemas that will show “UN-GO episode:0 Inga-ron” (Inga chapter) has also been shared with us (can be seen in Japanese on the official webpage). Also, this 45-minute story will not air on TV at all, so you better grab a ticket! The episode will be shown for as long as two weeks and will tell us how the two main characters, Inga and Sinjuurou, met. The other news is that the release will happen on November 19 and not on October 13th as stated in our last article about UN-GO.

We have already made a preview of the animated adaptation of the novel by Sakaguchi Ango entitled “Meiji Kaika Ango Torimonocho” (you can read it HERE).

  1. Wow! Seems like they’re putting their hopes in the new one as well… Good to know, since I’m pretty keen on watching it. I wonder whether it’s going to be more like a pilot or like the movies they do on famous anime…. Hmmm….

    1. It will be an untold in the series story of how the two main characters met. I suppose it can be understood as a pilot and as a separate story as well. I hope it’s going to be good, since it will be the BIG-BANG they expect to hook the people into UN-GO…
