Densetsu no Yuusha no Densetsu to be released anew by FUNimation

The legend of the Legendary Heroes (Densetsu no Yuusha no Densetsu) is a project, a series of fantasy novels by Takaya Kagami. Its animated adaptation aired in 2010 and was welcomed with great popularity and appreciation across the anime world.

At last weekend’s AnimeFest convention, FUNimation Entertainment has announced that they will be releasing a DVD/Blu-ray Disc Combo-set of the Densetsu no Yuusha no Densetsu animated series next spring. The release will be a candy for everyone – both dubbed and subbed, it will make the fans of the anime happy to have it no matter which one of these translation types they prefer.
The story revolves around Ryner Lute, Ferris Eris and Sion Astal and their attempt to make a better world through finding special artifacts with magical abilities. Through the series produced by FUNimation Entertainment, we follow the adventures and hardships that Ryner encounters while trying to survive as a member of a different species and while trying to understand which side is the good and which the bad. Ryner is a good friend of King Sion, but will his ways really bring peace and happiness or will they just carry on destructing and bringing harm to others (e.g. the people who carry special abilities just like Ryner)?

  1. Had a great laugh with Reiner and actually loved the anime, but I was hoping for another season, not a combo set, oh well…

    1. I don’t know if that is exactly possible or planned, but I too am one of the people who gave a high score of the anime. I fully enjoyed Densetsu no Yuusha no Densetsu. Even the comedy moments! (Shinigami’s sense of humour is not exactly what anime looks at usually)
