Kite to be filmed by David R. Ellis

David R. Ellis, the director of Shark Night 3D, Cellular, Final Destination 2, Snakes on a Plane, Asylum and The Final Destination will be filming the live action contemporary remake of the Japanese anime movie Kite.

The original movie was released in 1998 and was created by Yasuomi Umetsu. It tells the story of a young woman who lives in the hard days after a post0financial collapse of the economy and corruption has taken over, leading to trafficking of young women and much more. As her father is viciously murdered from someone from inside the Force, she pledges to find out what exactly has happened and discover the truth about the event. Trusting her ex-partner, they engulf in a dangerous adventure, though, not everyone should be entirely trusted in such a situation.

  1. Always scary, when a good movie is facing a remake. Especially having Snakes on a plane in mind… Let’s hope for the best, though.

    1. Yeah, I bet it’s all about making it big or making it good. I am not a big fan of FD and the snakes either. But we’ll see when it comes to life. Something really good might be cooking!
