The official website of the popular sci-fi, action anime Guilty Crown has announced the opening and ending theme songs for the second season of the show. The two singles will be released on the music market in March next year (7/03/12).

The title of the opening song is The Everlasting Guilty Crown and will be performed by EGOIST  while the ending will be supercell’s Kokuhaku (meaning ‘confession’).

This news is nothing too surprising, considering the fact that the same groups, but in reverse roles, did the first two OP and ED. Also, having in mind that the public wasn’t at all pleased with the Guilty Crown anime as a whole, there ere probably not many artists willing to relate their names with it (*ahemsonotmean*). I know that a manga is made upon the anime, I know that it is getting a second season, I know that there were many eyes set on it in the start, but many of those eyes were turned away as the show progressed.

Turning into the biggest fashion of the Fall season in 2011, Guilty Crown has even more promotion coming our way. Even though being described as a series that takes fan-service to another level, even though being branded as a total rip-off of some of the most popular and loved anime out there (including High School of the Dead and Death Note whose original director is also the one behind GC), even though having a view rate that it’s descending so rapidly that even a hawk would envy it, this anime TV series is striking back and getting up from the ruins to hit the critics even harder. This time, it is a crossover anime/game. For those of you who are still into the anime and all the badmouthing makes you sick, some special items are available in stores.

The official website of Guilty Crown, the anime TV series that aired two weeks ago and turned out to be one of the season’s hit shows, has announced that the first installment of its  Blu-ray/DVD will include the first two episodes of the series, titled “Genesis” and “Survival of the Fittest”, for the regular edition.

A CD theme songs collection including Ryo of Supercell’s opening theme song entitled “My Dearest” will be in the  Limited Edition together with the trailers, 2 card types, audio commentaries and original illustrations by Hiromi Katou. The cases will be designed by redjuice.

The official website of Guilty Crown the anime has announced that the first Blu-ray Disk/ DVD pack’s limited edition on the series will also include several bonus items in the bundle. These include a flash-animation based on a special 4-panel submission, the first two episodes of the television anime series, a special Theme Songs CD, a coupon for special event tickets, all the preview videos, an audio commentary and special artwork on the cover by original designer redjuice.
