KONAMI has finally confirmed that the much awaited Silent Hills game will never come to the shelves, neither digitally nor physically. The reasons behind this decision were not officially revealed. The studios will continue work on other Silent Hill projects.
The new instalment in the game series was supposed to be a collaboration. Film director and screenwriter Guillermo del Toro (screenwriter for The Hobbit, Hellsboy) was supposed to collaborate with Metal Gear Solid designer Hideo Kojima. This collaboration may still happen, but the studios will work solely on new instalments and not the promised Silent Hills.
In other news, the company has voluntarily taken its stocks out of the US stock exchange market.
Do you think this will be such a big problem or will the new games be much better after the hype dissolves in time?
