Sengoku Musou Staff and Cast Revealed

Sengoku Musou The official TV Tokyo website for the upcoming Sengoku Musou (Samurai Warriors) anime TV Series updated the list of staff and cast. Feel free to check out the names below!

The show will begin in January and will be available on TV Tokyo, TV Aichi, TV Osaka, and BS Japan channels.

The story will tell us of the endeavours of the young brothers Yukimura and Nobuyuki from the Sanada clan.

Directing the show will be Koujin Ochi. He worked as a director in Sengoku Musou SP: Sanada no Shou and the TV series LaCorda D’Oro ~Primo Passo. Kuroshitsuji, Neo Angelique Abyss‘s screenwriter Yuka Yamada is also writing for this series. Characters will be designed by Aki Tsunaki(worked on Harukanaru Toki no Naka de 3: Owari Naki Unmei).

The OP theme song is Ikusa and is performed by Wagakki Band. Their music is very characteristic as they combined traditional rhythm with modern ones. Their vocalist often recites traditional Japanese and/or Chinese poetry during the songs.

Here is the cast:

Takeshi Kusao as Sanada Yukimura

Daisuke Ono as Sanada Nobuyuki

Eiji Takemoto as Ishida Mitsunari
Masaya Takatsuka as Naoe Kanetsugu
Yuko Nagashima as (nameless) Kunoichi
Makiko Ohmoto as Ina-hime
Satoshi Hino as Outani Yoshitsugu
Masaya Matsukaze as Toudou Takatora
Hideo Ishikawa as Toyotomi Hideyoshi
Tomokazu Sugita as Kato Kiyomasa
Takahiro Fujimoto as Fukushima Masanori
Akio Ohtsuka as Honda Tadakatsu
Jouji Nakata as Tokugawa Ieyasu

Somehow I think people who liked Brave 10 will also enjoy this show.

I only watched Sengoku because of how cool Masamune’s attacks are in the game, so I am not sure I will follow.

Date Masamune is my favourite as well, even though for different reasons. He was in fact the character with the most development.
