History’s Strongest Disciple Kenichi manga is ending this month. This was announced by the offcial publisher of the title – Shogakukan. The manga by Shun Matsuena is published in the Weekly Shounen Sunday magazine and has been running for twelve years (since 2002).
The ending chapter will be published in the issue coming out on 17th September and will have 24 pages including coloured ones. A new big announcement will also come, which will tell us what huge new project by Matsuena-sensei we can expect soon.
The story focuses on the mesmerising U-turn the life of Kenichi Shrahama takes. At first, Kenichi is just an ordinary 15 y.o. high school student who is possibly the biggest weakling in the region. While this makes him feel awful, the constant bullying does nothing more.
One day, however, Kenichi meets the martial arts expert Miu Fuurinji who is not only a special kind of talented in the field, but even lives in the biggest and most crude dojo there is – the Ryouzanpaku. It is there where Kenichi decides to train as well so that he could become an able martial artist but also for a possible date with Miu.
This new training of his, however, brings along even more fighting because the more he shows his newly gained powers, the more the dreadful gang Ragnarok think him a worthy opponent, a danger to their plans.
History’s Strongest Disciple Kenichi was also turned into an anime TV series back in 2006 and it lasted for 50 episodes, turning into one of the most adored shows of its year (2006-2007).
