Shingeki no Kyojin Author to Change Planned Ending?

Hajime Isayama admitted that he is wondering if he shouldn’t change the ending of Shingeki no Kyojin (a.k.a. Attack on Titan). As with many creators, he had started with a specific plan and where it would end. According to his words, thought, the situation has changed and the ending might do it as well. What’s the drama? See below to find out.

To kill them all or not? Is the question that is supposedly bugging the mangaka. Ever since starting on this project, Isayama-sensei has had a specific ending in mind. After introducing new characters, however, it seems that a new story should unravel. The other reason, according to the creator, are the fans. He believes that killing off all the main characters would be a knife in the back for his readers.

Meanwhile, all forums are full with comments about how he should better ‘kill them all’.

This is just one of the topics discussed in the interview for White Screen. See the full text (in Japanese) by clicking on the source link below. There, the young mangaka also discusses the works that have influenced his own approach to art and more.

Everybody gets killed, the human-titan conflict lives on, but eren and his friends efforts are now history and a new character inherits Eren’s titan ability and continue the struggle, not knowing anything but just like Eren he will know in time what to do and also gain new friends to help him.

Indeed. Mass murder is always a great road to epicness.
