Yume to Kyoki no Okoku Trailer Streamed (Video)

Nico Nico video streaming service showed a new ad for the upcoming Studio Ghibli documentary entitled Yume to Kyoki no Okoku (The Kingdom of Dreams and Madness). The 15-second long video shows footage form the recording of viceover, a lot of Hayao Miyazaki scenes and more!

The Yume to Kyoki no Okoku documentary will be shown in theatres across Japan starting 16th November. In it, you will see how both Miyazaki and Takahata worked simultaneously on their latest and newest projects – Miyazaki’s ultimate Kaze Tachinu and Takahata’s Kaguya-hime no Monogatari. Directing the documentary is Mami Sunada. Apart from the two directors, producer Toshio Suzuki is also shown as an important figure in all ongoing production procedures on both projects.

The advertisement begins with a quote by Hayao Miyazaki. “This time it’s serious.” is what starts the 15-second ad, a quote taken from his internationally followed retirement speech.
