An anime adaptation of Kemuri Karakara’s Donten ni Warau manga has been green-lit. The story is a Meiji-era one with fantasy elements. Having ended in May 2013, this manga was being published for some 3 years (since 2011) and the last volume will be released on the Japanese market on 12th August.
The shoujo manga Donten ni Warau (Cloudy Laugh) by Replica’s mangaka Kemuri Karakara, centres on the adventures of three brothers. The Kumo men are responsible for bringing prisoners to the newly created inescapable prison at Lake Biwa. As they clash and chase after the wrongdoers they must bring to the place from where there is no going back and where the most cruel criminals are crying for mercy.
There is no information about the dates nor studios involved in the upcoming project, but more has been promised.
