Golden Time Anime Cast Revealed


The full main cast for the upcoming anime adaptation of Yuyuko Takemiya’s light novels “Golden Time” was revealed earlier today. Main characters Banri Tada and Mitsuo Yanagisawa will be played respectfully by Makoto Furukawa (Basket Army’s Satoshi Yoshino) and Kaito Ishikawa (Gagantia’s ledo). See below for more seiyuu!


Banri Tada to be played by Makoto Furukawa

Mitsuo Yanagisawa to be played by Kaito Ishikawa

Kouko Kaga to be played by Yui Horie (Bakemonogatari’s TsubasaHanekawa)

Nana Hayashida to be played by Ai Kayano (Guilty Crown’s Inori Yuzuriha)

Chinami Oka to be played by Ibuki Kido (OniAi’s Akiko Himenokouji)

Nijigen to be played by Takahiro Hikami (Nichijou’s Makoto Sakurai)

Nana to be played by Satomi Satou (K-ON!’s Ritsu Tainaka)

Directing the adaptation will be Higurashi no Naku Koro ni’s Chiaki Kon while screenwriter for the project is Suzumiya Harushi no Yuutsu’s Fumihiko Shimo. Famous for his character designs in Ikki Tousen,Kill me, Baby! and Revolutionary Girl Utena, Shinya Hsagawa will definitely bring experience to the character designs in Golden Time as well.

The story of Golden Time centres on the life of Banri Tada and ho he manages to live in his new college in Tokyo although have lost his memories because of an accident suffered just after his high school graduation ceremony. Discovering friendship in Mitsuo Yanagisawa and his stalker/girlfriend Kouko, the young man is slowly starting to feel himself again. But there is something off. When he lost his memories, a spirit, his own soul appeared, carrying all his past thoughts and recollections. What will happen to Banri Tada is a mystery.

We are expecting the anime in October.

That’s for the girls…waiting for something more action-like


It might be fun to watch…sounds like Slice of Life/Comedy.
