UraBoku (Uragiri wa Boku no Namae wo Shitteiru or Betrayal Knows my Name) is retuning to Monthly Asuka Magazine (Kadokawa Shoten) in its issue that will be out on the shelves on 24th August. Hotaru Odagiri’s series has been on hiatus sine last October.
The manga has been running in Kadokawa Shoten’s issues since October 2005 and has already sprung 10 manga volumes in Japanese and 5 (covering the ten) in English. As the Japanese versions were put on hiatus along with the chapters in Monthly Asuka, the English translations are going to catch up with the 6th volume. It is stated for a September release.
The story of Uragiri wa Boku no Namae wo Shitteiru centres on the supernatural world in which a demon named Zess (Luka Crosszeria) helps him discover things from the past. Why did Yuki seem to know this stranger called Zess and how come an ordinary human is able to read people’s minds by touching them? Romance, mythology and a war between demons all begin to influence young Yuki ‘Giou’ Sakurai’s life as he fights for truth.
UraBoku has also been adapted into a TV series in 2010.
