During the FFXIV Producers Letter Live at the NicoNico Choukaigi 2 event on Saturday, Square Enix president Yoichi Wada and producer Naoki Yoshida announced that the upcoming Final Fantasy game entitled Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn will be released this summer.
Although the getup of the two representatives of the project was striking (as seen above), the real surprise was hidden in the amazing graphics shown on the big screen. The project will come for both the PlayStation 3 playing console and Windows 8 PC systems alike.
Currently, more than 500,000 people are taking part in the ongoing beta-testing of the game and even more will join-up as the project enters into the third stage of testing in June. Voice actor Shinnosuke Tachbana (Tono to Issho’s Kanetsugu Naoe) will also participate as the seiyuu of the new non-playable character Alfino.
