Yoshiyuki Sadamoto’s Evangelion will be ending in June. Two more chapters are going to be needed for the story to reach its final stage. This was announced in the latest issue of Kadokawa Shoten’s Young Ace magazine where the story is serialised.
Evangelion was first published in the third ever issue of the monthly Shounen Ace magazine in 1994 and has been running ever since. Almost 20 years after its first chapter was published, the fans of the science-fiction saga which was adapted into various anime series and movies, will have to say goodbye to it.
The final chapter will probably be published on 4th June 2013 if there are no hiatuses and breaks meanwhile.
The final 14th volume will come out later this year, but everyone can get the 13th issue from a variety of online and physical bookstores all over the world.
