The new instalment in the AnoHana (Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae wo Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai) franchise will be a movie adaptation of the TV anime series. The new film will be a re-telling of the original story. Director Tasuyuki Nagai is returning as well as writer Mari Okada and character designer Masayoshi Tanaka.
The movie will be released in various theatres around Japan on August 31, 2013. It will be an alternate version of the story that has already made a lot of otaku not only love anime more, but do it with a tear in their eye. This time the tragedy around the six best childhood friends that became separated after a dreadful tragedy took one of them away will be told from the point of view of Menma – the very child that was deprived of her future.
This prolonged trailer is also joined in by a smaller video, which can be seen on the official website of the project.
