The second season of Oreimo (Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai) will be adapting the entire story of the original light novels by Tsukasa Fushimi. The anime will begin where the first series ended and will continue until the last stage of the novels. An ending in unison has been planned for both the printed and the animated series.
The first TV anime series of Oreimo (12 episodes) and he alternative ending found in the 4 additional episodes (released online and for home video) ended with what happens in the novels’ volume 5. Starting from volume 6 and ending with volume 12th’s scenes, the anime will bring a deserved finish to a beloved experience for many otaku.
Season two will air in April 2013, but no certain date has been announced yet.
Hiroyuki Kanbe will return to the position of directing the show while Hiroyuki Oda (a.k.a. Hiro Kanzaki), the original character designer, will also be supervising and creating for the second series.
