The last chapter of Hajime Yamamura’s Kamisama Dolls (神様ドォルズ) will be released in the February 19 issue of Shogakukan’s Monthly Sunday GX magazine. The story has been running since December 2006 and has been adapted into 13-episode-long anime and special episodes in 2011.
The story revolves around Kyouhei Kuga and his life after his move from his small hometown to the huge Tokyo. In the village of Karakami, he was once a ‘seki’ – one who has the rare power to control mysterious dolls. After having lived his whole life surrounded with the robot-like wooden dolls called kakashi, he is trying to get a hang on the changes in his everyday habits and surroundings. One day, though, his sister Utao tells him that a fugitive criminal from his old town has also escaped to Tokyo and brought his own kakashi along. This same outlaw is the perp in a dreadful and very sinister crime that Kyouhei has witnessed.Life will never be the same for this young man.
The manga is a seinen action story with lots of doll clashes (the kakashi and you shouldn’t mistake them with Naruto’s shinobi) and psychological intrigues.
