Capeta Sports Manga to End in Two Chapters

Capeta is an original story by mangaka Masahito Soda where protagonist is Taira Capeta – a 4-th grader who loves to go to the karting racecourse and improve his driving abilities. This is his way of fighting the negative effects of his mother’s death. The manga’s ending has been planned two years ago.

Capeta will finish in two chapters and they will be longer than the usual. The last one will have 90 pages.

The first chapter came out in 2003 and has since been published in Kodansha’s monthly Shounen Magazine. In 2005 an anime adaptation was released in Japan. The TV series were compiled of 52 episodes. It was animated by Studio Comet. The manga even won Kodansha’s Best Shounen Manga award in 2005.
