Gurren Lagann Manga’s Final Volume Set for 2013

Kotaro Mori, the mangaka behind the adaptation of the original Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann TV anime series, announced today that the final volume of the manga will be published this year. The end will be somewhat simultaneous with the end of the re-broadcast of the series on Japanese TV which begins tomorrow.

Gurren Lagann’s manga adaptation was first published in 2007 in Media Works’ Monthly Dengeki Comic GAO! and was later adopted by the same publisher’s Monthly Dengeki Daoh a year later.

Along with this quite unfortunate but foreseeable announcement, news about the Gurren Lagann radio program came. For those of you who have access to Japanese stations – be on the lookout for the show in January!

I am more of the “Nodame Cantabile Finale” type, so I hope Nakashima-san will do something similar :)

Looking forward to see what’s next by Nakashima and Mori. :)

Never got all the hype around this… flat plot and idiotic lead.

This will leave a big void… Hope a new talent comes out.
