The mangaka Noboru Yamaguchi has been fighting cancer for some time and, even though he had just returned to work, it seems like things are not as good as it was initially announced. The author’s work has been put on hiatus until 2013 and the Zero no Tsukaima novels cannot be restarted early next year as it was expected until now.
As he has been readmitted into hospital, Yamaguchi has thanked everyone for the wishes and support and has apologised saying that he was ‘really sorry’ that he is unable to continue his work for the time being. The Familiar if Zero’s original creator has said, though, that he will finish the story ‘no matter what’ once his health stabilises.
