There has been an official confirmation of Manga News Japon‘s claim that Akira Amano’s Katekyo Hitman Reborn! will be ending with volume 42 and in Weekly Shounen Jump’s issue 50 or 51. The most recent chapter of the manga showed the next one as the last and with this, everything is settled.
The anime ran from Cotober 2006 until September 2010 and was widely respected and named as one of the biggest shounen anime at the time (while it was running there was a big competition between Naruto, One Piece, Bleach and even Toriko!) Now, two years after the sudden end of the series, the manga is reaching its own. Even though many fans think that this is a deserved finale, a lot of the other readers consider this to be a somewhat untimely death that will leave many loose ends.
The last 409 chapter of the series will come out on November 12 while the last volume – 42 will be on the market in March 2013.
Weekly Shounen jump is still starting three new series in the near weeks, so keep them under surveillance for the next big thing might be one of them!
