Symphogear Anime Gets Season 2 in 2013

Senhime Zesshou Symphogear UPDATEDSymphogear anime series will be getting a sequel season in 2013! This was announced by the future visual artist for the upcoming anime – Thomas Romain (art director in season 1). Further details were later released on the anime’s official website. See below for hot news and staff swaps information!

The new series will have a different director. Tatsufumi Itou will be replaced by Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D’s (and episode 4,9 of Symphogear season 1) Katsumi Ono. Satoshi Koike will also leave the staff list, while his position as a character designer will assume chief animation director Satoru Fujimoto.

By clicking on the name of the anime above you can see the preview article on the Shinigami List. I am not entirely certain I was right in there, but it is a nice preview nonetheless! I haven’t done a review of the series since I’ve had a hard time getting the episodes and a new season came and so on.

According to Romain, a new main character/singer is also going to e introduced when the new season comes to the small screens in 2013.

I hope hibiki and the others will still have major roles because if they don’t, i am not sure if i will watch it.

They didn’t introduce any new characters that would take their spots, so I don’t see why they wouldn’t.

For once I agree with Baka…

Second season?! Whyyyyy?! Thought even those who like the genre hated/disliked it.
