Berserk Movie III Joined by Three New Seiyuu

berkser ougon jidaihen kourinBerserk Ougon Jidai-Hen III: Kourin is going to be joined by three new seiyyu. Fairy Tail’s Yuuichi Nakamura, K-ON!’s Ayana Taketatsu and Ghost in the Shell’s Akio Ohtsuka join the forces of Berserk to put an end to the flashback and a start to a new era in the story. See below to see who they will be playing and previous roles of theirs.

All three names are fairly famous when it comes to voice acting. They have participated in more anime series and movies than many people would watch.

Yuuichi Nakamura has participated in more than 125 projects as an anime seiyuu. I would choose just three of his roles to remind you: Fairy Tail’s Gray Fullbuster, Clannad’s Tomoya Okazaki and Arakawa under the Bridge’s Lost Samurai.

In Berserk’s third movie, Nakamura-san will play the leader of the Baakiraka clan of assassins – Silat.

Ayana Taketatsu plays: K-ON!’s Azusa Nakano, YuruYuri’s  Majokko Mirakurun and Guilty Crown’s Tsugumi.

In this new installment of the Berserk franchise, she will play the girl who lives with Godo the blacksmith.

Akio Ohtsuka joins the cast with previous jobs such as: Ghost in the Shell’s Batou, Kyo Kara Maoh!’s Gwendal and One Piece’s Blackbeard.

Here he will play the Skull Knight – a key element to unravelling the truth behind what was going on and what was planned for the world.

Berserk Ougon Jidai-Hen III: Kourin was initially planned for a late 2012 release, but has been delayed to January 2013. Hopefully the world will not end before we see how it actually ends for the Band of the Hawk on cinema.
